Refund Policy for Cert NDT
Effective Date: July 29, 2025
This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be considered for services provided by Cert NDT ("we," "us," or "our").
Please Note: All services provided by Cert NDT are typically subject to a specific written agreement, proposal, or quotation that outlines the scope of work, fees, payment schedule, and any project-specific cancellation or refund terms. This Refund Policy serves as a general guideline and does not supersede any specific terms agreed upon in a signed service agreement.
1. General Policy for Services
Due to the nature of our non-destructive testing (NDT) services, which often involve specialized expertise, time, equipment mobilization, and resources allocated upon agreement, refunds are generally not offered for services that have been initiated or completed as per the agreed-upon scope of work.
2. Circumstances Under Which a Refund May Be Considered
While full refunds are rare for completed services, we are committed to client satisfaction. A refund or adjustment may be considered under the following specific circumstances:
-
Cancellation Prior to Service Commencement: If a service agreement is formally canceled in writing by the client before any work, resource allocation, or mobilization has begun, a full or partial refund of any advance payments may be considered, subject to an administrative fee to cover processing costs. The specific terms for such cancellations will be detailed in the individual service agreement.
-
Failure to Deliver Agreed-Upon Service: If Cert NDT is unable to deliver the services as explicitly outlined and agreed upon in the signed proposal or contract due to our fault, and no mutually agreeable alternative solution (e.g., rescheduling, re-performance of service) can be reached, a pro-rata refund for the undelivered portion of the service may be considered.
-
Demonstrable Failure to Meet Industry Standards: If a client can demonstrably prove that the NDT service provided by Cert NDT failed to meet recognized industry standards or the specific requirements outlined in the service agreement, and efforts to rectify the issue are unsuccessful, a review for a partial or full refund will be conducted on a case-by-case basis. This typically requires clear, documented evidence.
-
Errors in Billing: If an error in billing or an overcharge has occurred, Cert NDT will promptly correct the error and issue a refund for the overcharged amount.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be issued in the following situations:
-
Change of Mind: Once work has commenced or resources have been allocated for a project, a change of mind by the client will not typically result in a refund.
-
Client Delay or Non-Cooperation: If delays or an inability to complete the service are caused by the client's failure to provide necessary access, information, or cooperation as outlined in the service agreement.
-
Dissatisfaction with Results Not Due to Our Fault: If the NDT results are not what the client hoped for, but the testing was conducted accurately and according to agreed-upon procedures and standards. Our role is to provide accurate testing, not to guarantee a specific outcome for the tested item.
-
Services Already Rendered: For any services that have been fully or partially completed as per the agreement.
4. How to Request a Refund
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to Cert NDT, accompanied by:
-
Your company name and contact information.
-
The project name or invoice number.
-
A detailed explanation of the reason for the refund request.
-
Any supporting documentation or evidence.
All refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We will communicate our decision and, if applicable, the refund amount and timeline for processing within a reasonable period.
5. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved, it will be processed using the original method of payment, unless otherwise agreed upon. Please allow [Number] business days for the refund to appear in your account after it has been processed.
6. Amendments to This Policy
Cert NDT reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
